Workshop: Jung for Life - Hamburg

Overview: "Jung for Life" is a week-long experiential workshop. Designed for individuals seeking personal growth, deeper self-understanding, and enhanced interpersonal connections, our time together will combine the wisdom of C.G. Jung with related practices, creative expression, and rich discussion.

When: February 17-21 (Monday to Friday), approximately 9am to 5pm daily.

Where: Our next event is Hamburg, Germany.

Who: Led by Dario Nardi, PhD with Hostess Katherine Hirsh (bios below)

SCHEDULE

Day 1 (Monday): Rejuvenate with Jung and Yoga. Improve your body-mind connection. Experience C.G. Jung’s words of wisdom around yoga. Includes 2-3 yoga sessions, the chakra framework, creative expression around your life purpose, and discussion. T

Day 2 (Tuesday): Unleash your Inner Wisdom. Get energy and insights to propel your life. We start with C.G. Jung’s ideas on the unconscious and his Active Imagination technique. Then we go on 2-3 drum journeys to get in touch with your personal archetypal landscape. This is based on traditional Nordic/Norse shamanic practice.

Day 3 (Wednesday): Deeply Connect with Yourself and Others. Remove blockages to enjoy genuine intimacy. We start with C.G. Jung’s ideas on persona and shadow— aspects of ourselves adjacent to the ego. Then we practice “human connection” based on a Meisner acting technique of working in 10-minute rounds.

Day 4 (Thursday): Grow Thru Games and Role-Play. Develop a new side of yourself through play. We start with an overview of the 16 personality types and how they often show up behaviorally. Over 3 sessions, we use semi-structured, stand-up and table-top role-play to explore what it’s like to “be” a different type, which is really a different way to be ourselves.

Day 5 (Friday): Lead Keenly in Group Relations. Learn to gauge and help shift any group’s dynamics. Based on the genius of psychoanalyst Wilfred Bion and Group Relations practice. People wish to be a part of a group, and also apart from a group; and from this tension of opposites, coping behaviors and a group culture emerge. You will learn to identify and work with these to keep any group on a healthy path to success.
